Something Fishy
As I was driving out in the country near a lake the other day, I came upon a gas station/convenience store with the following on the marquee:
Cappuccino
Bait
I'm not sure what this says about the good old boys going fishing, or about the South in general, but I can't think that this store would have been selling cappuccino 20 years ago.

LOL! I've never been into fishing or coffee for that matter but that's a perfect sign for the demasculation of the south. Most of the signs in central TX still say "Beer, Bait, and Ammo" but that's changing fast too.
Hey Christopher -- Thanks for dropping by. I unfortunately didn't have a camera at the time I passed it, otherwise I would have taken a picture. The owners of the houses in the area around the major lake near here fancy themselves as a little highbrow, I think. This store may have catered both to that idea, as well as the usual "necessity."
"thanks for dropping by" - It's funny, I happened to notice a comment you left at Shredded Chaeddar and realized I used to subscribe to your blog a few years ago but some screw-up at Blogger deleted everyone I followed. Glad to be following anew now!
