That's a shame. There certainly are options. I know of one young mother who sucked up her pride and ask her mother for help. Her mother got an apartment close to the college and agreed to watch the baby and help out while she finished her studies. Not an ideal situation and this person did consider adoption, but it worked for her.

It is a more than a bit bothersome when they talk about the inconvienences of pregnancy which is afterall only a temporary condition. Mind you there are many other things more important to consider like how you are going to raise a child, but pregnancy complications/inconvienences for an otherwise healthy (over 18) young person definitely should not be the issue at hand. This is coming from someone who had a high risk pregnancy and still managed to work two jobs until the middle of the second trimester. The words "grow-up" come to mind.

But check out FFL's pages on College Outreach and Pregnancy Resources--things are changing out there!
